Preset description:
A Preset improving colors, contrast and clarity, making the game look sharper and bright and dark areas look better. Made on a MSI Optix MAG27CQ (Panel: VA (SVA) | Gamma: 2.2 | Mode: Default | Mid-High brightness | contrast and colors at 50) How to use: Install ReShade for the game (Renderer: Direct X 10/11/12) Include all the effects packages (because I have no idea which effects I used belong to which package) Open the game Open the ReShade overlay Navigate to the path where you saved the preset and select it. If you do not like - The subtle lens flare [UnrealLens.fx] - The shimmering lens thing on bright highlights [Flair.fx] - The Chromatic Aberration used by this preset [Prism.fx] Feel free to turn them off. Ingame settings: Brightess: around 2.7 (the preset makes the game a bit darker overall and is meant for a relatively high monitor brightness) Chromatic Aberration: OFF Film Grain: OFF other settings feel free to keep as you like Caveats: Correct Color may overcorrect a little when DOTS are present, possibly giving the game a subtle purple tint. Update note: I removed Perfect Perspective. A bit too much of a hassle and I also noticed that just reducing my FoV slightly achieves a similar goal. What each effect does: [PD80_01B_RT_Correct_Color.fx] - Real time automatic color correction that adapts based on what's on screen. [SMAA.fx] - Anti Aliasing to make edges look slightly less pixelated. [Deband.fx] - Supposed to improve the transitions within smooth color gradients. Barely noticable, not actually sure if it does anything. [CAS.fx] - Makes the image look a tiny bit sharper. [ColorIsolation.fx] - Set to slightly reduce the saturation of blue, purple and red colors because they were a bit overblown by the rest of the setup. [DPX.fx] - Idk exactly what this does but it slightly improves colors and brightness. [FilmicAnamorphicSharpen.fx] - Another sharpening pass. Kinda been liking this one. [Clarity.fx] - Idk how exactly it works but it slightly improves visibility, making stuff stand out a tiny bit more. [EyeAdaption.fx] - Keeps bright things from getting too bright. [UnrealLens.fx] - Adds a slight lens flare when looking at very bright things. [Flair.fx] - Adds a sort of glittering shimmer to very bright highlights. [FakeHDR.fx] - Greatly increases color contrast. [Curves.fx] - Improves contrast, particularly on dark and mid tones [Vibrance.fx] - Improves colors [Prism.fx] - Chromatic Aberration as you may know from the ingame effect, but much more subtle and less ugly. [Vignette.fx] - Very subtle darkening on the screen corners [PD80_06_Film_Grain.fx] - Adds film grain (noise) in dark areas. Very subtle but it adds to the game's mood.
