Notes:
1. In addition to the ReShade preset, I also disabled the (in my opinion a little cheap and exaggerated) ingame bloom effect and replaced it with ReShade's own more subtle bloom. The original screenshot is unchanged, that is, with the ingame bloom effect still active. In order to disable it, go to C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Roaming\BioshockHD\Bioshock.ini, and change the line
UseHighDetailPostProcEffects=True
to
UseHighDetailPostProcEffects=False
2. Depending on your DPI value (corresponding to the size of the pixels of your monitor, including virtual / dynamic super resolutions (VSR / DSR), you may change the chromatic aberration value of 1.6 pixels. I usually take 0.8 pixels for 1080p.
3. You may have to increase brightness in the game's options because of the increased contrast in order to preserve some visibility in dark areas.
