I tried to change the sweetfx_settings.txt file encoding to ANSI because I heard that was the issue but it doesn't stay that way and always reverts back to UTF-8 Thanks.

ok I got it to work so the compiling effect is successful but I can't toggle the effects on/off...not with scroll key anyway... What am I doing wrong?
