Preset description:
Compiled using Reshade 4.7 The aim of this preset is to retain the original colour palette whilst hugely increasing visual sharpness, with minor boost to bloom and shadow depth. This removes blurry visuals on higher resolution screens and makes the game a little darker. ------------ Techniques in Use ------------ Vibrance LumaSharpen Curves Pirate_Bloom FXAA LiftGammaGain Tonemap ------------ How to install ------------ Download the latest reshade from https://reshade.me/ Run the installer and select XCOM-EW & Direct 3D9. For packages, select: Standard Effects, SweetFx & Pirate Shaders - then click 'OK' through the screens until done. Boot up the game to the main menu. Reshade will give you a simple tutorial on how to apply presets. Once done, click the [+] icon to create a new Preset, call it 'Cato' and hit enter to save. Now exit the game. Navigate to your game install: \common\XCom-Enemy-Unknown\XEW\Binaries\Win32 Open the Cato.ini file you made and replace the contents with the settings text below (click Show/Hide settings). Load the game again, hit 'home' and change the preset to 'Cato'. All done! If you like you can designate a Reshade toggle button in Settings to quick turn the filter on/off for comparison.
