Mild Saturation + HDR + Bloom
Preset description:
This is the same ReShade preset used in the Freelancer: HD Edition mod. It's a relatively mild preset that adds increased saturation, Fake HDR, and Bloom. Though by default in the HD Edition installer, only the increased saturation is enabled.
This preset works in vanilla Freelancer too as long as a D3D8 to D3D9+ API translator is combined with ReShade. This is because Freelancer runs on D3D8 whilst ReShade requires D3D9 or higher. A driver that achieves this is d3d8to9 https://github.com/crosire/d3d8to9.
A zip has been provided with everything you need in order to use this ReShade config in vanilla Freelancer. It comes bundled with a copy of ReShade and DxWrapper, which has d3d8to9 built in. It also enables native Anti Aliasing and Anisotropic Filtering to make the game look even better. Simply extract the zip into your vanilla Freelancer installation directory, and everything should work out of the box when you launch the game.

NOTE: If you have an NVIDIA GPU, open EXE/dxwrapper.ini, find the line that says "AnisotropicFiltering = 1", and change it to "AnisotropicFiltering = 0". Unfortunately enabling Anisotropic Filtering while playing with an NVIDIA GPU and DxWrapper causes some textures to not load correctly in Freelancer. Alternatively, you may use dgVoodoo2 and enable Anisotropic Filtering that way.
